NOTICE FROM THE CITY OF WAVERLY

The City Council passed, effective March 18, 2024, Ordinance 24-01, An Ordinance Amending the City of Waverly Code of Ordinances by the Addition of Article VIII to Chapter 258 Establishing Standards for the Construction of Facilities on th Rights-of-Way.  The ordinance is available to be viewed at City Hall.

 

2024 LIHEAP Program will open October 2, 2023

Beginning October 2023 - appointments set for seniors (60+), disabled, and families with children 5 years and under.

Beginning November 2023 - appointments set for disconnected and imminent disconnect (with notices) households.

Beginning December 2023 - appointments set for all households types.

Applicants must furnish the following documentation to complete the application:

* Social Security card or Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) proof for all household members

* Proof of all household gross income for the 30-day income period beginning with date of application.

* Most recent gas, electric, and/or propane bill that is in a household member name (or a current rent receipt and rental lease         showing utilities are included in rent).

+ Medical and/or LINK card(s) for all household members who may be participating in those programs, and

* Anyone over the age of 18 claiming zero income are required to provide proof such as: proof of job search, denial or appeal of disability claim, denial of unemployment, written proof of help from family/friends, application for/or receipt of DHS services (SNAP, TANF, medical card, etc.) proof enrollment in school, etc.

Documentatoin needs to be brought to the scheduled appointment location.  Missing documents will need to be sent by using: office drop box, emailing (mcsintake@morgancounty-il.com), faxing, or regular mail delivery.
