Waverly's National Night Out
Begins: 8/4/2026 - 4:30 pm

Event held at Salter Park featuring Country Music Star Darryl Worley at 7:00 pm. Touch-a-Truck event at 4:30 pm, Hotdogs, popcorn, etc. will be handed out throughout the evening. "Backyard style" games will also be throughout the park. Additionally, the Waverly First Baptist Church will be providing hygiene items and haircuts - and - Jareed's Keepers Foundation will be supplying backpacks and school supplies.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT - SALTER PARK

PAWS ON THE PAVEMENT

5K Run and Walk. Registration at 6:00 am located at the Waverly American Legion, 136 East State Street. Race Start at 7:00 am. $25.00 entry fee - OR - donate a 15lb (minimum) bag of dog or cat food. 50/50 drawing and raffles. All proceeds benefit the Paws & Wellness Project.

76th Annual Chicken and Fish Fry - Waverly Fireman's Association

Event held at the Waverly Fire & Rescue Station. Chicken & Fish - $12.00, Children under 12 - $6.00. Dine in or carry-out. There will also be a raffle $10.00 per ticket with only 800 tickets sold, with the following prizes: 1st: $750 Humphrey's Market gift card, 2nd: $500 Jones Meat gift card, 3rd: 55" Smart TV, 4th: $200 Casey's gift card and 5th: $150 Witty Famer gift card.
